Achieving this Mission
This tour was born from a deep desire, developed after cycling thousands of kilometers across continents. From the most remote roads to the most iconic routes, I discovered a simple yet powerful truth: cycling in Puglia is a unique experience. My mission is now clear — to share the hidden treasures of this extraordinary land with cyclists from every corner of the planet, revealing its authentic beauty through the slow pace of two wheels.
The project is designed to be accessible to all, with the idea of composing a mosaic of micro‑areas to be discovered in small, delicious “tastes.” You will pedal at your own pace and interests.
Maximum attention is paid to your needs, starting with the selection of unique accommodations such as historic Apulian Masserie. These boutique stays embody sustainability and centuries‑old stories, offering rest and inspiration at the end of each day.
For your palate, we offer the opportunity to taste typical organic products — from extra virgin olive oil to traditional dishes prepared according to ancient recipes that smell of home.
The Founder’s Journey
This tour, the fruit of my decades of experience as a cyclist who has ridden roads all over the world, is designed as a series of circular routes. For private groups, it can be customized into a single, continuous itinerary — a two‑wheeled adventure that visits all the locations in a single, unforgettable travel experience.
I will guide you through the first stages of this journey, dedicated to the discovery of the iconic white villages of the Itria Valley: Locorotondo, Alberobello with its UNESCO World Heritage‑listed trulli, Cisternino, and Martina Franca. From here, we will dive into the coastal wonders, from Torre Canne to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Leuca and its lighthouse, passing through Otranto, the enchanting Porto Badisco, Castro, Tricase Porto, Torre dell’Orso, the majestic Faraglioni di Sant’Andrea, and the splendid Baia delle Due Sorelle.
The routes, designed based on my firsthand experience, favor bike paths, rural roads, and secondary roads with little traffic to ensure maximum safety and peace of mind. These itineraries are designed for a wide range of cyclists, requiring no particular technical skill or advanced training.
You’ll find numerous refreshment options along the route, including public fountains and quaint eateries. To ensure safety, on‑the‑road refreshments, and assistance, a support van is always on hand for any eventuality, driven by a true dreamer, a former professional cyclist with a deep understanding of the needs (and unexpected events) of two‑wheeled riders!
